GVR, as he is known, has been a pioneer in the IT industry and has played a critical role in heralding the Indian IT Industry. Currently, he plays several critical roles across companies and other institutions. He is a member of the Board of Directors in SunTec Business Solutions, Chairman of UST Global, Hon.Director of Centre for Autism and other disabilities Rehabilitation Research and Education (CADRRE). He is also the founder and former Hon. Director of National Institute for Speech and Hearing (NISH) Trivandrum. He started his career at HCL, was the Center Coordinator of CDAC India’s Supercomputer initiative and later he became the Founder CEO of Technopark, an initiative of Govt. of Kerala, wherein, he conceptualized, planned, implemented and marketed India’s first Electronic Technology Park. His over 40 year career also includes several leading roles with the government including being part of the Member of Kerala State Planning Board 2011-2016 where he set up the working group for the first time in the area of disabilities. He was also a Member of a High-Power Committee that conceptualized, implemented, and oversaw several programs including Cochlear Implant Program and a Member of the Expert Advisory Panel constituted by Govt. of Kerala to advise on the delivery of Digital Services to the people and corporates. He is a regular part of CII, NASSCOM, INK and TiE where he gets to interact with start-ups, and understands the various trends happening across the world of technology and business.
